Business travel often involves routine, but occasionally it brings moments that remind us of the incredible people in our SunExpress family. During my flight from Antalya to Frankfurt for our quarterly team meeting two days ago, I was pleasantly surprised to discover familiar faces in the cockpit.

A Journey of Growth and Success

It is always a pleasure to reconnect with old friends, and seeing Captain Volkan in the cockpit was a true highlight. We have known each other since our high school days back in 2001, and seeing his career progression brings me great pride.

However, the day was made even more special by our First Officer, Yüce. Yüce represents the very best of our commitment to nurturing internal talent. Having joined our team through the SunExpress Cadet Pilot Program (MPL), his journey from a dedicated trainee to an accomplished First Officer is a testament to the effectiveness and quality of our flight training standards.

I first met Yüce during an EVP photoshoot, and his presence on the flight deck reminded me of the significant strides our pilot training programs have made. Watching him operate with such professionalism is exactly why we invest so much in our MPL and cadet pathways. He is a shining example for every aspiring pilot who dreams of taking off with SunExpress.

Memories Above the Clouds

I had the honor of visiting them for a quick chat before landing, and moments like these make business trips far more enjoyable. They serve as a reminder that behind every flight, there is a dedicated team of professionals who have worked hard to turn their aspirations into reality.

Safe flights, Captain Volkan and First Officer Yüce. Thank you for your commitment and for reminding me why we love what we do. I look forward to seeing both of you again on future flights soon.
