SunExpress Airlines: Where My Career Cleared for Takeoff: Fast and Agile

Some journeys begin with a suitcase; mine started with curiosity and a passion for learning. It wasn’t that long ago when I joined SunExpress as a Junior Specialist as a part of FLY Talent Program, fresh out of university, holding two Bachelor’s Degrees in Management & Economics, and an open mind. I began my journey in the Organizational Development team under Human Resources and that’s where the real adventure began.

Thanks to the supportive and forward-thinking culture at SunExpress, I was given the incredible opportunity to step into the world of Agile by joining the Agile Studio unit as a Junior Agile Coach. With the guidance of my inspiring manager Burcu Küçükgüçlü Postoğlu, MBA, PMP®, PSM I and the encouragement of my team I found a space where I could both learn and practice turning theory into real, hands-on experience.

As part of my Agile Coach responsibilities, I actively support Agile teams across our Antalya, İzmir, and Frankfurt bases which means I often find myself hopping on a plane, turning each trip into a new opportunity to meet colleagues from different departments, build connections, and create lasting memories along the way.

Every time I see a SunExpress aircraft or spot one of our ads gliding by on a tram, I’m filled with a sense of pride and excitement. Each boarding, every flight, and every duty trip still feels like a new adventure, and that never gets old.

In this role, I’ve had the chance to contribute to strengthening our Agile culture by teaching Agility and its frameworks, facilitating onboarding sessions, fostering cross-functional collaboration and offering one-on-one coaching tailored to each team’s needs. I’m also continuously growing through internal and external trainings and love bringing fresh perspectives back to the teams I support.

What excites me the most is the team spirit we build, how we learn from one another, challenge each other and grow stronger together. As for my FLY journey, it is slowly coming to an end, but my adventure at SunExpress is just getting started. I’m excited for what’s ahead! More learning, more journeys and more shared success stories as we continue our Agile transformation and my professional growth.
