Sunny People, From the Office to the Clouds with Yavuz

Sometimes, the most enduring friendships begin in the most unexpected places. For Yavuz and me, it started more than five years ago in the parking lot of our SunExpress headquarters in Antalya. I noticed him struggling with his car and, after a spontaneous team effort to push the vehicle to a nearby repair shop, a bond was formed that has lasted ever since.
Yavuz is truly one of the most intellectual and sophisticated individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He possesses a rare combination of humility and a deep well of knowledge that he is always willing to share. Even a brief conversation with him is enough to leave anyone feeling refreshed and inspired.
His professional journey within SunExpress is a remarkable example of following one's passion. After working successfully within our Crew Planning team at the office, Yavuz decided to transition into a cabin crew role. Then a SunExpress cabin crew story begun, and his dedication was evident as he succeeded in the rigorous assessment process and was recently promoted to Senior Cabin Crew last year.
While we often joked about the possibility of our paths crossing during a flight, that moment finally arrived recently. As I boarded a flight from Antalya to Frankfurt, I was greeted by his familiar and welcoming smile. Despite the busy nature of his duties, we managed to catch up, and as always, I walked away with new insights and a sense of nourishment from our conversation.
SunExpress is truly fortunate to have professionals like Yavuz who bring such brilliance and kindness to our guests and our team every day. I look forward to our next encounter, whether it be in the office or thousands of feet in the air.
